HOST/HOSTESS
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Manage reservations (if applicable) and walk-in seating efficiently.
Escort guests to their tables, hand out menus, and introduce servers when needed.
Assist with bar or patio seating if required.
Be knowledgeable about menu items (food, drinks, specialty offerings) and able to answer guest questions.
Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent guest experience.
Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive.
Maintain and update the waitlist when the restaurant is busy.
Monitor table turnover and communicate with servers/kitchen to maximize guest service.
Maintain cleanliness and order at the entrance/lobby/waiting areas.
Handle guest requests or issues politely; escalate to manager as necessary.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Previous experience in a host/hostess role or customer-service position preferred.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of menus, drink specials, happy hour etc., so you can guide guests.
Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks (busy seating, waitlist, etc.).
Comfortable being on feet for long periods, standing, walking, sometimes in outdoor/patio settings.
